These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Milora mobile application ("App") operated by Milora ("we", "our", or "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Milora is a family wellness check-in app that lets you signal to family members that you're okay with a single daily tap. The App provides a constellation visualization of your family connections, daily emotional check-ins, streak tracking, and optional invite-based family member connections.
2. Account & Registration
- You may use core features (constellation, check-ins, streaks) without creating an account.
- To use cloud features (invites, cross-device sync), you must verify your email address.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account.
- You must provide accurate information when creating your profile.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
4. User Content
- You retain ownership of all content you create in the App (profiles, family member data, check-ins).
- You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the App's functionality.
- You are responsible for any content you add, including family member information. Ensure you have appropriate consent to store others' personal information.
5. Invites & Family Connections
- Invites are sent via shareable links that you distribute to family members.
- By sending an invite, you represent that you have a legitimate relationship with the recipient.
- We are not responsible for invites sent to unintended recipients.
- Either party can remove a family connection at any time.
6. Notifications
- The App may send local notifications (daily reminders, silence alerts) based on your settings.
- You can disable notifications at any time through the App's Settings or your device settings.
- Notification timing and delivery depend on your device and are not guaranteed.
7. Data & Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
- The App, including its design, code, constellation visualization, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App.
9. Disclaimers
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Milora is not a substitute for direct communication, emergency services, or mental health support. If you or a family member are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline.
- Check-in data reflects self-reported emotional states and should not be used for medical or diagnostic purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of connection with family members, or reliance on check-in information.
11. Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Edit Profile > Delete Account. Local data is removed immediately. Cloud data (if applicable) is deleted from our servers.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
