Milora ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Milora mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Profile information: Your name, email address, and birthday (month/day required, year optional) collected during onboarding.
  • Family member information: Names, relationship labels, birthdays, phone numbers, cities, bios, and profile photos you add for family members in your constellation.
  • Check-in data: Your daily emotional check-in selections and check-in history.
  • Streak data: Your consecutive check-in streaks.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Authentication data: If you verify your email, we use Supabase authentication services to manage your account session.
  • We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics.

How Your Data Is Stored

Local Storage

All personal data (including your profile, family members, check-ins, and streaks) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly use cloud sync features (when available).

Cloud Services

  • Supabase: If you verify your email, your profile and invite data may be synced to our Supabase backend for account management and the invite system. Supabase servers are hosted by AWS in the United States.
  • No data is shared with Supabase until you complete email verification.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Display your family constellation and check-in history
  • Send local notification reminders to check in
  • Alert you when family members have not checked in (silence alerts)
  • Enable the invite system so family members can connect
  • Track and display check-in streaks

We do not use your information for:

  • Advertising or marketing
  • Selling or sharing with third parties
  • Analytics or behavioral tracking
  • Profiling or automated decision-making

No other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools are used.

Notifications

Milora uses local notifications only to remind you to check in daily (at your chosen time) and alert you when inner or middle ring family members haven't checked in. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server.

Data Retention

  • Local data: Stored on your device until you delete the app or use the "Delete Account" feature.
  • Cloud data: If you have a verified account, your profile and invite data are retained on Supabase until you delete your account. You can delete your account from Settings > Edit Profile > Delete Account.

Your Rights

You can at any time:

  • Access your data by viewing your profile and constellation in the app
  • Edit your profile and family member information
  • Delete individual family members from your constellation
  • Delete your account and all associated data from Settings
  • Disable notifications from Settings

Children's Privacy

Milora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at milora.app@gmail.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
